How to make your daily London commute work for you even during a pandemic

Crammed, squashed, standing on the train — a seat? You’re dreaming! — waiting for smelly people to get off and finally reaching your destination, if you can get out that is.

The daily reality of many Londoners who are unable to work from the comfort of their homes should be transformed. During the pandemic the daily commute has somewhat improved in the sense that one finally gets a seat and SPACE. Not to breathe though — the mandatory face covering makes sure of that.

So, if you are still required to travel to work using public transport as you don’t have the work from home option, make sure you’re getting your money’s (and time’s) worth! With the additional space available, take your laptop or tablet and set up your commuter office. Tube trains unfortunately don’t offer the comfort of tables, but with a laptop bag on top of your lap, you can comfortably sit and work whilst using the free seat next to you (pure luxury) to have your coffee in your keep cup or super food smoothie ready.

Apart from working on tasks for your day job, there are many other things you can do during your commute.

Top ways to make your daily commute work for you

1. Tackling tasks

Guess where I’m writing this? Exactly, on the train to work. I used to play games on my phone or read something until I actually started to assess how I’m using the hours in my day.
